PRNTJUNKY started as a way to study for my Master’s degree in Spanish Literature and Linguistics. Cutting out mini portraits of authors, pasting them on a map of the world, and adding notes helped me get through exams. I finished my studies but kept collaging. 

For me, print evokes nostalgia.

It brings me back to the end of the month when a new, glossy Seventeen Magazine would be waiting in the mailbox. I’d flip to the end and eagerly read it back to front (still my preferred method).

Today, I feel a different joy and discovery when creating collages for PRNTJUNKY. Isolated images reveal the aspirational and often absurd imagery directed, especially, to young women. I’m getting a reintroduction to the media I’ve loved for 20+ years and letting each page inspire new ideas.
